Shani Tate Ross, Director of Communications and Marketing for Sprint Center/AEG, has more than twelve years of strategic communications, public relations, marketing and community outreach expertise. Shani directs all public relations and marketing efforts for AEG-Kansas City facilities including Sprint Center and Kemper Arena Complex.

 
Prior to joining AEG-Kansas City, she specialized in public relations strategy and public affairs work at a two local agencies, assisting a variety of high-profile nonprofit and municipal clients. Shani Tate Ross is a registered lobbyist in the state of Missouri.

Previously, Shani developed community outreach strategies, managed player relations and executed special events for the Kansas City Royals Baseball Club. In addition, she established community outreach partnerships for a variety of Royals corporate sponsors.

A Kansas City native and avid volunteer, Shani strives to improve the lives of women and children by serving on charitable boards, including The Children’s Place, Reviving Baseball in the Inner City, Kansas City Public Television (KCPT) and the Women’s Intersport Network (WIN for KC). In addition, she is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated and The Links Incorporated.


Recognized as an energetic and visionary leader, Shani was selected to participate in Major League Baseball’s Executive Development Program and is a 2003 graduate of Centurions, a two-year leadership program sponsored by the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.
Shani earned a bachelor of science degree in marketing from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

 

Shani and her husband, Davyeon, reside in Overland Park, Kan.
