Elder has an unwavering and altruistic commitment to building her
communities. She has spearheaded a
healthy, innovative way to give youth the building blocks they need for
personal, professional, and educational development and prosperity. She is a seasoned professional with the
background, expertise, and skills to coordinate the WTT Corporate Leagues LA,
WTT After-school in Los Angeles, and Sports Explorer. Ms. Elder was a
professional on the USA WomenÕs Professional tennis circuit for seven
years. She is a dynamic
professional with more than 30 years professional experience in tennis and
physical education. A womanÕs
tennis pro, college graduate, seasoned educator, professional trainer and
coach, multi-cultural and community-building leader—all of these are the
many accomplished roles of Elder.
In addition to these varying afore-mentioned roles, she has also served
as Director of Multicultural Participation with the United States Tennis
Association/Southern California.
Ms. Elder is the beacon of hope in the Crenshaw community. Her tennis and education program has
served as the seed for growth and development of tennis and education. She has taught thousands of youth
across greater Los Angeles how to play tennis and integrate it into their
healthy lifestyle choices.
