Yvonne M. Petite
Yvonne M. Petite has over 10
years of Human Capital experience. In
her previous role as Learning and Development Specialist with Blue Cross and
Blue Shield of Kansas City, she developed and implemented the core curriculum
for Blue Cross and Blue Shield’s first Corporate
University, known as Blue University.
Under her leadership, her team effectively planned, developed, implemented, and
facilitated the corporate training modules, and recommended various training
and development strategies for management in accordance with the corporate
goals and objectives of Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She began her Human Resources career as a contract
Training Consultant for the Mid America Regional Council, The Center for
Management Assistance, and Sprint’s University
of Excellence. In
addition, she served in a training and development role for The Full Employment
Council. In 2001, she became the Employee Development Representative for Aquila
Energy Corporation.
Yvonne earned a BS in
Marketing Management from Park University in 1986, and a Masters of Science in
Administration from Central
Michigan University
in 1990. She began her academic career as an Adjunct Professor with National American University
in 1995. In January of 2003, she joined
the Faculty of Webster University as an Adjunct Professor instructing Human
Resources and Management courses. In 2006 Yvonne became the Senior Academic
Advisor for graduate studies in addition to her role as a member of the
Faculty.
As an active member of St. James
United Methodist Church, Yvonne teaches Church School,
serves in the role as a Steward, and is a member of the Contemporary Choir. Her volunteer efforts include Reading Tutor
with the WEB Dubois
Learning Center
since 1986, where she tutors reading for inner city youth, a Youth Friend since
2001 at the Wendell
Phillips Elementary
School, and she also served as a Judge for the Alpha
Phi Alpha Sorority 2008 Scholarship Drive.
