Sharon Harris-Baugh M. D.

Sharon Harris-Baugh M. D., a native of Grambling, Louisiana, has resided in the greater Kansas City area for more than 15 years.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Medical Degree from Michigan State University. She complete Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She has been in private practice (Southtown Women’s Healthcare) in Kansas City since 1990.

Doctor Harris-Baugh is involved in the community and church providing numerous seminars and lectures on women’s health and wellness issues throughout Kansas City.

She was recognized for her many years of commitment and contribution to “Awesome ambitions” which focuses on encouraging and educating teen girls in Kansas City to pursue positive lifestyles and higher education. In 2007, she was selected by the Southern Christian Leadership Conference to receive the Black Achievers Award.

As a physician advisor, she has served on several committees for BlueCross BlueShield of Kansas City, Healthcare USA and the Research Foundation.

A Christian practicing physician and surgeon, she is compassionate and dedicated. She provides professional and personal care for women from adolescence and beyond.
